  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You may not use TaskCalendar to:

6. Intellectual Property

Our intellectual property: The TaskCalendar platform, including its software, design, logos, and content created by Nexus Media, is owned by or licensed to Nexus Media. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you create and submit through TaskCalendar (tasks, descriptions, comments, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Nexus Media a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You warrant that you have the right to submit any content you upload, and that doing so does not infringe any third-party rights.

7. Third-Party Services

TaskCalendar integrates with third-party services to enhance functionality. Your use of these integrations is subject to the relevant third-party terms of service.

Google Calendar Integration

If you connect your Google Calendar, you authorise TaskCalendar to create, update, and delete calendar events on your behalf via the Google Calendar API. We access only thecalendar.events scope, which limits our access to individual events — we cannot read your existing calendar content beyond events created by TaskCalendar.

You can revoke this access at any time via Settings > Integrations or through your Google Account permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Nexus Media is not responsible for any downtime, data loss, or changes to third-party services. We are not affiliated with Google LLC.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Service provided as-is: TaskCalendar is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

No guarantee of availability: We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from technical failures.

Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Nexus Media's aggregate liability for any claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or R500 (five hundred rand), whichever is greater.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Account. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in illegal activity, or your continued use poses a risk to other users or the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Clauses relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We will always keep the current version of these Terms available at taskcalendar.app/terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

The processing of personal information through TaskCalendar is subject to the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”). For details on how we handle your personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
